“Springtime in the Rockies 2017”
“Goodbye to skiing and hello to fishing, biking, & hiking (and shopping)”
Springtime in the Rockies
On May 19, after 2 feet of snow had fallen in the mountains of central Colorado, I went skiing at A-Basin. A last hurrah for my ski season.
We call this time of year the “mud” season, which the melting snow creates.
However, “mud” season has the lowest lodging prices of the year, for anyone interested in enjoying “Springtime in the Rockies.”
Honestly, up here in Breckenridge, Co, we are actually pretty tired of the snow, as this picture, taken on May 18, 2017, shows:
The snowmelt will get the rivers flowing, and our affiliate, The Adventure Company, http://www.breckenridge.com/activitiesdetail/Breck+-+Adventure+Company.axd
Is offering great river rafting experiences.
Another one of our affiliates, Charter Sports, https://www.summitvacations.net/rentals-detail.php?id=125
offers ski and snowboard gear during the winter season, also offers bike rentals during the spring, summer and fall:
Springtime can often bring the occasional moose walking through downtown Breckenridge:
Breckenridge lodging rates this spring are at the lowest prices in years.
