Prepare Yourself for Oktoberfest
Plan on taking off work early the second Friday of September, and heading on over to Breckenridge. Add a little bit of high art and culture to your life by attending the 2016 Breck Film Festival, Thursday, September 15th to Sunday, September 18th. One of the oldest film festivals in the country, the non-profit Breck Film festival began back in 1981 and states its mission as “To guide a year-round comprehensive celebration of independent film for the community, visitors, and filmmakers by presenting diverse film experiences in an authentic mountain environment.” Tickets can be purchased ahead of time at www.breckfilmfest.org and are recommended even for free events. Screening this year starts with Ron Howard’s “Beatles: Eight Days a Week-The Touring Years”, then is followed by two days of back to back independent films.
